Dj Sam French

Sam French honed his skills as a guitarist and saxophonist in the jazz genre before he was given turntables for his 16th birthday. The finest DJs got their start with a passion for the instruments that generated the music on the recordings they spin. He honed his art by listening to the melodies and intricacies of music greats like David Bowie and Ray Charles, who he found while digging through the record collection that belonged to his parents. At the time, the "battle-style" vein of DJing was a major source of inspiration for him. Sam was first exposed to the world of club DJing when he was 17 years old. The teenage disc jockey was exposed to the endless potential of moving a crowd via open format DJing, which involves mixing several genres of music together. Sam French began his nightlife experience by sneaking into clubs whenever he could and working as a DJ at the home parties of his friends in order to get experience in the field. Sam worked hard to find the right balance in his mixing, for example between Biggie and the Clash, and he soon found his lane and gained the trust of his young crowds, building a reputation that would carry him until the day he could legally step into a nightclub.
