Duhon Photography

I am a photographer based in the District of Columbia who has a passion for producing images that are unusually badass. My area of expertise is portraiture, and I've come to believe that the best way to convey a story is to do so in a manner that is not only stylized but also photojournalistic and documentary. This is because it's difficult to deny the allure of an authentic tale that's been told in its entirety. My first experience with photography came when I was 14 years old and I was sneaking into abandoned houses with some friends in rural Virginia to take pictures that can only be described as "experimental." I grew up in a small town. When we fast forward a few years, I found myself going "legit" and holding a BFA in photography. Later, I found even more perspective and cut my teeth as a photographer in New York City by covering society events. It's safe to say that I'm completely committed to photography at this point in my life because I've spent more years doing it than I haven't. My work encompasses a wide range of subjects, from weddings and portraits to architecture and even boudoir photography. I have settled down in North End Shaw, District of Columbia. My life is continually brought into focus by the happening that is photography, so it's not just a job for me. My one and only goal is to provide you with striking and tasteful photographs that you can keep for a lifetime and look back on with fondness.
