After a decade working at NYC and Manhattan's top catering and event production companies, Elizabeth launched Emlan to create bespoke, thoughtful events. With her extensive experience in fine dining and off-premise catering, she thrives on food challenges—whether it’s collaborating with a celebrity chef or partnering with multiple chefs for a curated experience. Elizabeth and her team specialize in transforming private homes and non-traditional venues (think remote farmland, where every single element needs to be brought in) into magical event spaces. Ever looked at a spot and thought, "This would be perfect for a wedding", Well, Emlan will make it happen! Emlan is based in Tribeca, NYC’s creative heartbeat, but their work extends far beyond—across the Hamptons, Westchester, Hudson Valley, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, South Florida, the Caribbean, and beyond. What started as a consulting company offering hourly and retainer-based services quickly evolved into a full-service wedding and event planning business. - What event planning services do you offer?
- We offer consulting & full planning. Consulting is billed on a need basis, whether project or retainer based. Full planning ensures we are your partner through it all from start to end. We tailor all packages to meet our clients needs so feel free to contact us and we can discuss whats best for you!
- Do I pay vendors directly, or will you handle payment coordination?
- We request all vendor proposals, whether they are our recommendations or your preferred vendors, we manage communication and negotiations, and then our clients sign and pay all vendors directly.
- How would previous clients describe your planning style?
- We're planners so we like getting sh** done! That said, when it comes to the day itself, we pride ourselves in being experts at managing a timeline, while reading the room. If 10pm comes & its supposed to be cake cutting but the dance floor is PACKED, we have no problem adjusting accordingly.
- How would past clients describe working with you?
- Finding a wedding planner is like dating. It has to be the right match. My clients would say we can be serious (I joke we're not drill sergeants) when needed, but we like to have fun. We are direct, easy going and approachable. We want to give you the best experience - elevated, grounded, and unique
- What venues have you worked at before?
- We love working at new venues! We mainly work in NYC, Hamptons, Upstate NY & Martha's Vineyard. We've also worked in South Florida & consulted in the Caribbean and Mexico. Some of our favorite venues are Valley Rock, Tavern on the Green, Baker House 1650, & our favorite - the tent in your backyard!
