I'm a wedding and editorial photographer based in Newport, Rhode Island, with a strong desire to see the world and my passport always close at hand. My husband, Nic, and I share a quaint little bungalow together, along with a rotating cast of foster puppies. After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology at URI, I moved to San Diego in search of both myself and my true love. The year 2006 marked the year that Nic and I made the move back to Little Rhody. Our hearts will always be in New England; we missed our families and the changing of the seasons. My experience as a wedding planner, blogger, editor of a wedding magazine, and stylist has provided me with a fresh perspective on wedding photography, which I put to use in each and every one of my shoots. Due to the fact that I recently organized my own wedding as well as forty others that took place in the same year, I am aware of how much time is put into every aspect of your special day. After becoming wholly motivated by the editorial and fine art photography styles, I started working as an assistant for a variety of local photographers and eventually finished the Certificate of Education program at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). In 2011, I established my own company after honing my aesthetic sensibilities while working as an editor, staff photographer, blogger, and stylist for two regional wedding magazines, Southern New England Weddings and Bliss Celebrations Guide. My eye was trained to capture detail-oriented images in an editorial style thanks to the unique background I have. My approach is to take a fly-on-the-wall mentality, which means I will let the day unfold however it may, never pausing you during important formalities but skillfully and unobtrusively capturing your raw emotion. The majority of my photos are taken in daylight. You'll find that my sense of style is gentle and slightly faded by the sun. You can rest assured that your photographs will never look dated or trendy but will instead have a timeless and classic quality to them because they are constantly inspired by the timelessness of film. If there is enough time, I might even shoot a few rolls of film at your wedding.
