The primary person to whom I owe the credit for this, aside from my own passion for love and the romantics, is my mother. She was known for being the "hostess with the mostess" at every party! Her house parties were known for having the tastiest food, the tidiest and most fashionable decorations, and even the most beautiful calligraphy on the invitations. She never failed to produce something that would keep people talking for years to come after it was first mentioned. She'd come up with American Flag Trifles for the 4th of July or "Soil" Trifles with broken Oreos, gummy worms, and even a shovel to make it appear like chocolate "dirt." She'd make these trifles to celebrate holidays like the 4th of July or Halloween. What aspects of your special day will people remember most fondly? There will be flowers, food, and dancing at every wedding; the question is, what will make yours unique? It's one of my favorite things to do to create new customs, like when we had a Jewish-Japanese wedding and served Miso-Matzo ball soup during the reception. Or teaching your wedding party a dance to your favorite song that you choreographed together. There is no limit to the number of ways this might go, and I can't wait to help you make some unforgettable memories! What makes me different from other event planners is that I specialize in weddings and weddings are my whole life! I do not have any children or even any pets. Since moving to Colorado, I've been trying to incorporate more modern and industrial styles into my repertoire. My creativity has always been one of my strong suits, and I absolutely adore it when engaged couples seek for my advice on how to decorate and style their wedding venue. The fact that a wedding is constantly running behind schedule is a running joke among wedding planners. Not my weddings! I am in charge of putting together a VERY thorough wedding timeline, and it is my responsibility to ensure that we adhere to it. I assist in the coordination of your other vendors and the development of remedies in the event that things does not go according to plan.
