- What should I know when using AV?
- For most social events, audio and lighting are integral to the ambiance and mood. The audio for your wedding ceremony is as important as the audio for your band. If you have bad audio, everyone notices. Lighting on the other hand is about visibility: if you don't light it, you don't see it!
- Who is at the event to help us?
- All Gala functions will have either a Production Manager, or Technical Event Manager to work with you or your planner for your function.
- How do I pick the right color(s)?
- We suggest scheduling a "lighting tasting" where we can review each color for each phase of your function.
- The band also provides lights, can we use those too?
- Regrettably, we want to control all lighting systems. Many bands include their gear as part of their package, as they have to ensure they can see what they're doing. Gala always lights the band, bars, and escort tables as part of the overall architectural lighting package.
- Why is it so expensive?
- AV utilizes specialty professional grade lighting, video, and audio systems. In addition, each technician is a specialist in their field. We use the same audio engineers that produce Grammy award winning albums and our lighting designers build Broadway shows.
