Grant Swift is one of the most sought-after solo performers in the Eastern United States. His unique take on the "one man band" has him performing close to 200 times per year, working with everyone from private individuals and small businesses, to global brands. Grant Swift's repertoire of over 500 songs as a One Man Band contains everything from Pachelbel to Stevie Wonder, Neil Young to Ed Sheeran. Using creative live looping techniques (but no backing tracks) with guitar, bass, percussion, keys and vocals, every performance of Grant's is one-of-a-kind and tailored to your event. - How many years have you been in business?
- I've been performing on a professional level since I was a kid, over 30 years ago! But, I first started booking private events as a One Man Band in 2016. Since then, I have averaged over 100 events per year.
- Can I work with you to customize a playlist?
- Definitely! I have a very full song list on my website, which clients can download as a spreadsheet to make selections. I encourage my clients to give me 10-15 artists or songs to start. Once we're on site the vibe might demand a change of pace, and I like to be flexible to fit your event.
- How would you describe your entertaining style?
- I love being a chameleon of sorts. I can bring the party to the dance floor, but I also love setting a background ambiance that's just right for bringing other elements of your event front and center. I'd say I specialize in getting people mingling, imbibing, and setting a mood
- Are you willing to learn new songs that are important to me?
- Yes. I take pride in my custom song arrangements, which often require 15-40 hours of work to put together. I don't use backing tracks or "MIDI clock" for my performances, so everything has to be performed and looped live, which demands the time for writing out music and practicing it well.
- Will you work with my venue to make setup arrangements?
- Absolutely. I often provide 100% of the sound equipment needed for events, and have setups for nearly every event size imaginable. I arrive early - sometimes days early - for advance setup and consultation.
