We are narrative fiction filmmakers who have been making award-winning independent films since the 1990s, having graduated from Wesleyan University and NYU film programs. Our work has screened everywhere from Sundance to Reykjavik, and our short film won the Berlin International Film Festival's Best Short Film Award. So, how did we get into event videography in the first place? In 2008, while I was directing my first independent feature picture, one of the actresses came to me with an issue. She was getting married and was sick of the "cheesy" wedding videography she'd seen on the market, so she requested us to create a wedding film for her. We filmed and edited it, and without even realizing it, a new company was created. I engaged my two favorite cinematographers, an amazing sound man, and, of course, yours truly as director/editor. Hart Pictures has had a crazy two-year journey since then. We've worked with some of the best wedding planners in New York City, including David Reinhard, Fête, Sofia Crokos, Sonal Shah, Jennifer Kraft, and Toby Ellen Sarna. We've shot in exotic locales including St. Barts, the Bahamas, Maui, and Ireland, as well as some of New York's most iconic venues like the Waldorf-Astoria, The Plaza, Gotham Hall, Pier 60, Cipriani, The Standard, Museum of Natural History, Bowery Hotel, The Hamptons, and more.
