Haven Flower Farm

TerriLynn and Reesa, the owners of Haven Flower Farm, are "farmer-florists," which is a phrase for those who specialize in both farming and using seasonal flowers in designs. TerriLynn and Reesa, who are based in Lockport, Louisiana, work hard to grow genuine, specialty cut flowers to share with their neighborhood. Reesa googled "How to cultivate black and white anemones in Zone 9b" in the spring of 2020, which is when their journey with flowers began. She came across the website of Floret Flowers, the top flower grower in the country, and saw a very thorough essay on how to cultivate her favorite flowers. Reesa was immediately motivated to start her family's own floral tale after being surprised to learn that this industry even existed. She dove right in, excavating a third of their backyard, sowing countless seeds, caring for the sprouting plants, and studying floriculture. TerriLynn and Reesa discover fresh lessons every day as they work to expand their company and brand. They continue to collaborate to build their dream of using their flowers to spread more beauty around the world, whether it be through the soil they grow in, a particular floral design they try out for the first time, or the diligence required while arranging weddings.
