I'm Emily Gaikowski, CEO and Founder of Heartthrob Weddings and Events. Nothing brings me more joy than creating unique, heartfelt & impossibly fun parties. I’ve been event planning my entire life (adding glitter to a birthday card, creating detailed timelines for family gatherings, etc.) as organizing people, places and ideas comes naturally to me. Before I discovered my passion for producing events and weddings, I ran psychology & public health research projects for Harvard & UCSF, and bring my exquisite attention to detail and my experience managing large teams and even larger spreadsheets into all of my work. I’ve been fortunate to turn a passion into a career, and do work that is as satisfying as play. The heart of my planning process is making sure my couples feel listened to and taken care of from start to finish. I hold my clients and their wedding aspirations with the utmost respect, balancing big vision with experienced pragmatism at every turn. I tell it like it is - to save you time, energy and resources, and I leverage everything from my extensive experience to bring your big dream to life. In the eleventh hour, I keep you motivated even when you can’t fathom talking about the damn seating chart one more time. I’m lucky to call Los Angeles home. My community of artists and creatives plus the large personalities that populate this city provide constant inspiration. When I’m not finding ways to weave magic and practical savvy into wedding gold, you will find me road-tripping, breaking up fights between my scrappy cat and angelic pup, and tearing up a dance floor with my other-half.
