It all started with the construction of the ideal farm table... Lani Toscano and Wolfe Tone, who is Toscano's husband, are the founders of the company Heartwood Essentials. Lani and Wolfe wanted to introduce a more refined version of the traditional farm table onto the market, so they began their hunt for the ideal builder as well as the ideal wood. They have designed farm tables that are not only simple but also sophisticated. The tables are the ideal embellishment for your special occasion and will match whatever design you choose to use. Your guests are sure to have a good time and remember the meal that they had, regardless of whether the table was decorated with a runner along the middle or was left plain. Tables from Heartwood Essentials are manufactured to order and are constructed entirely from hemlock that has been salvaged from previous construction projects. The entirety of the decking is made from recycled old decking that was sourced from mills located along the Androscoggin River in Maine. Each board is one of a kind and was carefully chosen by hand by a team that looked for boards that radiated character as well as strength and longevity. We have not stopped looking for and developing new items that are produced from recycled or repurposed wood. Several of the artworks that we have commissioned were once barns that were scattered over the countryside of Maine.
