Julia Dordoni

In Rochester, New York, I started my artistic career in 2000 as a certified K–12 art instructor. I started painting street scenes and landscapes in Colorado, Arizona, California, Costa Rica, and Hawaii as a full-time traveling artist in 2006. In 2011, I was hired as a live wedding painter by the Four Seasons Resorts in Maui and a featured resident artist at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Despite how lovely the islands are, I missed Colorado's shifting seasons and busy mountain lifestyle. My 11-year-old daughter and I currently reside in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and we hardly ever spend a day without riding a bike or skiing! I have dedicated the last four years of my life to my job as a live event performance painter, with a focus on painting wedding ceremonies. I couldn't be more pleased with the performing artist niche I've found while remembering a wonderful period in history! I really believe that painting weddings is my life's work and that this is my genuine calling. When I'm not traveling for weddings, I still enjoy painting landscapes, animal portraits, and urban views. My paintings always have an animated impressionistic quality to them that corresponds to the vibratory energy I perceive around me. Mother Nature's dynamism and the camaraderie of her inhabitants are what most inspire me.
