Kate Fine Art Photography

My loves are wedding photography, spending time with my family, and exploring outdoors. They make me happy and remind me of what life is all about. I worked for numerous local galleries and Arts Councils after graduating from college with a degree in Fine Art. I started my photography career in 2003 with the Maryland Film Office in Baltimore, and in 2004 I photographed my first wedding with my sister-in-law. I was head over heels in love! It was location searching for the Film Office during the week and weddings on the weekends for the following three years. In 2007, I made the decision to focus solely on wedding photography. I moved out west to learn studio lighting and posing techniques from professional wedding photographers in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In 2009, I started my own business as a full-time wedding and portrait photographer in Annapolis, where I learned a lot from my peers. Since then, I've met hundreds of incredible couples, married the love of my life, and given birth to the most fantastic daughter and son. When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll most likely find me with my family on a mountain or on the Chesapeake Bay, camera in hand.
