Lake Oconee Event Company

When Brad Ashurst founded Lake Oconee Rental in 1995, he entered the rental industry. This original company specialized in renting out machinery including trenchers, jackhammers, and bucket trucks. Brad became aware of the demand for event rentals as the neighborhood around him started to expand and change, particularly around Lake Oconee. In 1999, he bought his first sizable party tent, and Lake Oconee Event Company expanded from there. Brad's family has had a significant impact on his business. His wife Jodi, who has a keen eye for design, chose a lot of the furniture you will see in the Lounge Furniture section. Several of the soft seating items had been reupholstered by her. All of their children have come and gone, working part-time and helping out when big events are being planned. Josh, Brad's oldest son, discovered his vocation here. Josh Stamps started assisting Lake Oconee Rental at the young age of 13, and in 2011 he started working there full-time. He has been there for most of the expansion and has a keen interest in the event-related aspects of things. He was there to help that area of the firm expand as well. Brad's leadership of the Lake Oconee Event Company is currently being replaced by Josh's. Josh is assuming more of a leadership position even though they are still working on this aspect of the business together. He enjoys interacting with clients as they organize the events of their dreams and is very enthusiastic about the growth potential.
