Laura Kobes Photography

Hi, My name is Laura, and I photograph families, lifestyle, and documentary subjects. I am a firm believer that every moment, no matter how big or how small, is special and contributes to who we are as individuals. Working with children of varying ages is made easier for me, dare I say it, by the fact that I have a degree in early childhood education and that I am the mother of four lovely and energetic children. As an artist, one of my goals is to convey the atmosphere and feelings associated with the event while also capturing the essence of my subject. Because I have a greater appreciation for capturing people in the moment, I will lightly pose, but I will not force poses on my subjects. My subjects, my own life experiences, my family, and my children all serve as sources of motivation and inspiration for me as a photographer. I am grateful that you have placed your trust in me to document some of the most significant moments of your life. I have a huge sweet tooth, I am a big advocate for mental health, and I am the wife of a retired army veteran who was injured in combat. These are some fun facts about me (USMA, go ARMY).
