Martine and Jim Holzman have owned Martine's Pastries in Lexington since 1999, and after 17 years on Industry Road, they constructed an expanded shop and cafe in downtown Lexington in 2018. Martine's magnificent cakes, wedding cakes, and pastries are only surpassed in beauty by their flavor. Martine's delectable cakes are known for their rich yet delicate buttercream frosting, which comes in a range of flavors. Real butter, cake flour, quality flavorings, and European chocolates are used in her pastries. Martine's philosophy from the start was to construct a business based on exceptional customer service and to produce a product that was also an experience by using the finest gourmet ingredients and artisanal expertise. Martine's skills have expanded beyond wedding cakes to include celebratory cakes and pastries, which are available for pick-up at the public shop at 400 East Third Street for dinners, parties, meetings, and other occasions.
