Mezze

In a historic structure dating back to the 19th century, you'll find the Mezze Bistro + Bar, a restaurant in the classic bistro style that serves elegant, contemporary American food, together with friendly hospitality and great service. The restaurant was moved to its current location in Williamstown, Massachusetts in June of 2010, which is situated on three picturesque and pastoral acres with a view of Sheep Hill. Because of this change, we will be able to put our farm-to-table purpose and our dedication to building tighter links between diners, producers, and the environment into practice more effectively. Together, we are able to improve our diet, take in the scenery, prepare and share nourishing meals, and adopt a way of life that is not only environmentally responsible but also quite pleasurable. Mezze Bistro was founded in 1996 by Nancy Thomas, who is of Moroccan and Greek ethnicity. The first site of Mezze Bistro was located on Water Street in Williamstown and featured small meals that showcased Nancy's culinary history. Mezze is an Arabic word that literally translates to "sharing," and it refers to the practice of eating several appetizers in the style of tapas. In fact, the word "Mezze" itself comes from the Arabic language.
