My involvement in the beauty industry spans 27 years, with beauty, film, and photography being longstanding traditions in my family. My great-grandfather was a barber in Manhattan, New York; I actually own his straight razor; I keep It in my display case with vintage makeup and beauty products from the early 1800s. My parents also shared a passion for art and photography. Before relocating to San Diego, we resided in Los Angeles, where my father’ had many friends that worked with the studios in the tv/film industry, which led to our frequent visits to nearby film locations that he had friends of his working on. One of my favorite film locations was seeing the Terminator 2 set near our old house. I was captivated by the behind-the-scenes action and knew I wanted to be a part of that world. At the age of 12, I began experimenting with wild and vibrant hair colors drawn to the music scene. I delved into drama class, honing my makeup skills and even exploring special effects makeup in my class projects. My camera became a constant companion, capturing friends, concerts, and backstage music events. After high school, I embarked on freelance makeup artistry for photoshoots, short films, runway gigs, and collaborated on a commercial project with Sea World, Wild Animal Park, and others. I built a strong portfolio, establishing a notable reputation in town. I worked in salons around town as a receptionist but also makeup artist as well. Being around stylists and in pursuit of advancing my makeup skills, I took the step to enroll in beauty school to become a licensed esthetician despite the financial strain as a young adult. At the core of my company is the commitment to foster a positive and supportive work environment free from negativity. I strongly believe that clients can perceive the atmosphere, and it is essential for my team members to share a supportive and enthusiastic camaraderie devoid of divisive competition. Unfortunately, unhealthy competition is prevalent in the beauty industry and beauty schools, a challenging environment that builds resilience and strength. Every individual I bring onto the team is carefully chosen to ensure they are happy, outgoing, passionate about their work, and can collaborate effectively with others. A team that is divided is not a team at all. Several of our members have been part of our team for 8 years, witnessing milestones like marriages, starting families, and forming lifelong friendships within the team. Our work revolves around fostering friendships, enhancing inner and outer beauty, and encouraging personal growth. Before establishing Mobile Beauty Team, as a freelance artist, I had the opportunity to work with renowned figures and networks to name as few small few such as The Food Network, NFL, FOX, NBC, and MTV, as well as government officials like Condoleezza Rice. Given my background in the industry, Mobile Beauty Team also has great opportunities to collaborate with large VIP companies as well. We have worked on numerous substantial projects, including events at Comic-Con, Dateline, Lionsgate Films In Mexico, Makeup and Hair on Golden Globes Attendees, commercials, and more, extending our work beyond San Diego. We have teams now in all of southern California across various locations like Los Angeles, Orange County, Palm Springs, Temecula, San Fernando Valley, and we are currently operating in 11 other states (NV, AZ, UT, ID, TX, NY, NJ, TN, FL, CO, MA, HI). Our portfolio covers a diverse range, from festivals to VIP events, commercials, makeup, and hair on attendees VIPS to ESPY awards, Academy Awards, Palm Springs Film Festival, and behind-the-scenes working The Grammys in February 2024.
