Nikki spent her childhood helping out at the plant nursery that her family owned and operated. She began tending to plants long before she recognized that this was her true calling. She is a multi-talented woman who is skilled in many different trades. She has worked in a variety of settings, from vineyards to the agricultural extension service at Virginia Tech, as well as a great deal of other jobs in between. In addition, she holds a master's degree in horticulture from the University of Florida, and she is continually interested in pursuing further education. Her never-ending need for new experiences and information was ultimately the impetus for the founding of Modern Foliage. Nikki's love of plants motivates her to inject a sense of vitality into every space she decorates. The use of indoor plants provides a more environmentally friendly alternative (or even complement) to the use of flowers. We make it our mission to infuse every occasion with vitality by utilizing plants as live décor. We have a large selection of plants available for purchase so that you may realize your vision of anything from a modern lounge to a rustic backdrop to a tropical paradise.
