Many of my colleagues remind me that in order to be successful in this industry, I need to pick a niche market - i.e. weddings, portraits, etc. I believe in creating your own success and I do so by shooting a range of subjects. I enjoy shooting brands, portraits and weddings, but I do not shy away from challenges and will take on many projects including street life, headshots and other events - I love shooting brands because I get the opportunity to learn the stories of the people behind my lens - where they came from and why they are here now - this allows me to capture the person's identity and represent it in their brand. The beauty of being a photographer is the ability to see beauty in things that other people cannot; I carry this idea with every aspect of my life. I grew up in a family where documenting everything was so important, so it was no surprise that I found my love for photography at a young age. My passion lies in capturing images that tell a story or share an emotion. When people ask my, “style,” I always say that I am a documentary photographer - capturing real moments for real people.
