Nunan Florist & Greenhouses wants to uphold our 100-year legacy of serving consumers with great quality and value. We recognize that our most precious asset is our customers, and we are committed to ensuring them complete pleasure. Nunan's strives to make every customer's experience with us exceptional. Nunan's also strives to retain and strengthen its position as the region's and country's premier flower grower. The majority of our plants are cultivated in our own greenhouses on site. Our plants are harder than the competition's because they are completely suited to our local environment and are not damaged during transit, as many plants in large box stores are. Nunan Flower & Greenhouses was founded in 1917 by Albert D. Nunan as a florist store in Saugus, Massachusetts. He eventually moved to Georgetown, Massachusetts. Albert passed the business down to his son Ken, who owned and managed Nunan's for many years after a long and successful career. Ken was ready to retire in 1985, and he discovered two persons who were keen to buy the company. Steve Flynn Sr. grew up in Middleton with his seven siblings. Steve and the majority of his siblings worked at Middleton Greenhouses, which was located directly across the street from their family's home, during the summers and after school. Steve knew he wanted to work in agriculture from the time he was in high school. Bill Guerrini, the grower, was Steve's best buddy and also lived in Middleton. Bill shared Steve's enthusiasm for agriculture and spent the majority of his days on the farm, tending to all of the crops. They came to the conclusion that buying a home for themselves and their families was the best option. Steve and Bill built Nunan's into a larger and more varied company while maintaining Ken's family name on the company. Nunan's has evolved into a full-service Garden Center, Florist Shop, Nursery, Landscaping business, Plant Rental business, and Interior Plantscaping business over the last 30 years thanks to Steve and Bill's efforts.
