Oak & Gold Studio

Hello, my name is Suzanne, and Oak and Gold Studios is comprised of my husband Nathaniel and me! I began my photographic career, like many others, with a simple desire to capture images. When I was in high school, I attended a black and white film photography class where I learned not only about exposure and composition, but also how to develop my film and turn it into images in a dark room. Following that, I studied photography in college and began my own business in 2010. I quickly understood that weddings were my true calling. Nathaniel has always been a strong supporter of mine, and he joined Oak and Gold Studios as a second shooter in 2015. He, too, has a background in photography, having studied it in high school, so it was only natural that we collaborate. Our photography styles are a good match for each other. Nathaniel enjoys the fun and candid images on the dance floor, while I want emotion and romantic portraits.
