Rafael Floral Design

I'm originally from a small village in El Salvador, but I've been living in the United States for over twenty years now. I arrived in Boston without knowing more than a few words of the English language, but I managed to get around. My goals for the next three years were to find a job that would allow me to earn enough money to support my family back in the United States and to study the local language. I had no idea that during this time I would stumble upon the skill that would eventually lead to me being where I am now. I started out in maintenance, where my main responsibility was cleaning up after designers. After that, I started learning about flowers, including the different kinds, how they were processed, and eventually how they were designed. My entire world shifted once I realized I could make use of the talent that had always been dormant within me. My profession as a florist and event designer has not only provided me with an outlet for my creativity but also with the opportunity to travel the world. My life has been full of incredible opportunities and blessings, including attending a State Dinner at the White House while the Obama administration was in office, meeting growers in Amsterdam, working with colleagues in Paris and Miami, and making the dreams of couples all over New England a reality. Now that we've reached this point, I'm excited for the next twenty years. My objective is to provide my customers with the kinds of celebrations they've only imagined possible. I will provide the same level of attentive service to them regardless of whether they are having a small dinner party at their house or a large party in an opulent ballroom.
