Our whole team has over five years of event expertise, with the majority having over ten years of experience assisting clients with events similar to yours. Jay Kingery, the current Managing Partner, created Recording Consultants, Inc. in 1970 to develop and implement recording studio equipment. Jay has been working in professional audio since 1962, and has worked on a variety of concerts and installations, including the audio system for the "I Have a Dream Speech" in 1964. The studio design and installation firm founded RCI Sound Systems in 1976, and the original company was renamed RCI Systems Inc. in 1977. Rick Shepard has joined RCI Sound Systems as a partner in charge of the new audio production and equipment rental company. After decades in business and continuous expansion on both sides of the home, the total employee count reached 120 and annual revenue reached over $10 million. RCI Sound Systems handled over 500 projects per year between New York City and Atlanta, spanning the whole spectrum of sound reinforcement, including special events, performances and concerts, corporate and institutional events, and broadcast productions. Throughout the Washington, DC, and Baltimore areas, RCI's Installed Systems Division supplied design-build services to commercial, government, and industrial customers. Installation and integration of audio visual, video, and control systems for schools, hotels, conference centers, and houses of worship were among the company's many projects.
