Renata was born in Poland, but she is truly a global citizen because she has lived in a number of different countries across a number of different continents. The many different cultures that she has been exposed to have had an impact on her work, which can range from more traditional forms to more contemporary abstracts. The most fun can be had when developing new ideas and experimenting with different kinds of media. She creates works in which form and color are married together. She enjoys painting traditional portraits in oil and watercolor on linen, as well as abstract acrylic paintings on hard board, canvas, and jacquard. Her favorite medium is water color. Her work is a distillation of her experiences in the natural world and a reflection of her feelings. Her work appeals to all three senses: the eyes, the hands, and the heart. She is drawn to the earthiness and rawness of the stoneware clay, as well as its coarseness, which works wonderfully for raku sculpture and vessel making. In addition to that, she makes use of its polar opposite, porcelain, which is characterized by its silky and smooth texture, its whiteness and purity, and its gentleness to the touch.
