In the beginning, the clown was frequently Leesa Zelken, the company's Chief Entertainment Officer, who led games, entertainment, and activities, served as the party's master of ceremonies, and ensured that visitors were pleased and delighted. The firm – and the ideas – grew and grew and grew, focusing on great event experiences and keeping a finger on the pulse of the current (and yet-to-be-discovered) party trends. Leesa Zelken, Chief Event Organizer Leesa traveled to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career after receiving a degree in theater and early childhood education in New York. Leesa supplemented her income with non-traditional teaching positions such as Gymboree, "Mommy and Me," school enrichment programs, and others, as many performers do. On Friends, Seinfeld, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, she had small but memorable roles. When a good friend asked her for help preparing her child's birthday party, her world was flipped upside down. She dressed herself like a clown and prepared a party routine. It was a tremendous hit and a lot of fun, much to her surprise and everyone's delight! Leesa converted a one-time show into a successful business and a rewarding profession. Leesa's unique experiences as a children's entertainer, actress, teacher... and mother are reflected in Send In The Clowns. Leesa has been forced out of her clown costume and into the role of CEO - Chief Entertainment Organizer, since she plans over 500 events per year (and 15,000+ and counting in her career!). Her inventiveness, ideas, and enthusiasm continue to inspire and thrill parents, adults, and children in the Los Angeles area.
