Sol Fusion is so much more than just another band; it is an indefinable blend of musical magnificence that should not be missed. Our stage setup includes LED lighting, all wireless technology, in-ear monitoring equipment, and a top-notch, highly educated sound engineer for your convenience. Make sure to inquire about our ceremony and/or cocktail hour choices with your entertainment coordinator! Hester Kast-McClure is a founder member and owner of Sol Fusion. Hester graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in music theory and history and has been singing (and rapping) professionally since 2002. She's also a seasoned Master of Ceremonies, having presided over hundreds of weddings and other private gatherings. Hester still performs with the band on occasion, despite the fact that she is generally retired from the stage and now runs the performance from behind the scenes. She will collaborate closely with the client or the customer's event planner to ensure that every detail is handled flawlessly! Chris McClure is the co-owner, manager, and largest supporter of Sol Fusion. He has a wealth of expertise arranging and producing a wide range of high-profile events, both public and private, and can advise clients and planners on logistics (lighting, staging, power and the like). His contagious charisma and can-do attitude have been vital in Sol Fusion's success, earning him the moniker "Showbizz" within the band. Chris is also a partner in EastCoast Entertainment, and his diverse range of skills and abilities led him to take on a "side job" as Adjunct Professor of Concert and Event Production at Johnson and Wales University, where he has proven to be a huge hit with both students and faculty. Ed Bibbs, Sol Fusion's production manager and primary audio and visual engineer (as well as the proprietor of AV Smarts, LLC), hails from Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2006, he moved to the Charlotte area to start a job in Network Engineering for a national retail bank after completing two degree programs at East Carolina University. He's a former musician with a strong background in gospel music, as well as a DJ (inquire about adding a DJ performance to your event!). Eddie contributes over two decades of live audio production and engineering knowledge to every Sol Fusion event, and he is usually always the first as well as the last person on site! Sol Fusion's magician is Jason Singleton. Jason is an important member of our production team since he is a tech wizard who ensures that the show runs smoothly - but that's not all. He's also our drum hero, who knows the performance inside and out and can jump in at a moment's notice. Jason is a native of Gastonia, North Carolina, who enjoys playing the drums and works in production. He's got the chance to play a variety of musical styles and collaborate with a variety of musicians. Jason also enjoys teaching drums and passing on his love of music and production to others. Our talented band includes Carmelo Smith, Chris Gray, Archie Pearson, Brad Moody, Charlie Fisher, Jorge Wesly, Phillip Howe, Stephanie Massey Streater, LaVita Hill, TK Hash, and Cara Watson.
