About Special D Events
Founded in 1992
We are an award-winning, woman-owned national meeting/event management agency and Detroit Destination Management Company (DMC) with nearly 35 years of experience. Based in Detroit, we have worked in all 50 states as well as internationally. Event attendance ranges from 25-10,000. We ensure our clients gather with purpose by establishing measurable event goals and objectives, managing the event accordingly and then tracking ROI at the conclusion. Our certified event professionals serve as an extension of our client’s staff and our support is guided by our agency’s four core values: collaborative, accountable, empathetic and “roll with it”. Services include meeting design, branding and theme development, project management, site selection, logistics, speaker/talent/VIP coordination, trade show management, supplier management, creative and theme development, registration, mobile apps and onsite staffing.
