Allison Denny, the owner and principal designer at Stems, is passionate about creating unique décor for each event she works on. She meets with each customer to learn about their desired style, taste, vision, and budget. Her ultimate goal is to build a trusted relationship with each couple that will result in the creation of stunning, one-of-a-kind flower arrangements. The customer will receive a complete floral plan and estimate for their wedding after a complimentary consultation with Allison. If the proposal satisfies the client's requirements, we recommend scheduling a sample consultation 6-12 weeks before the wedding to see a complimentary mock-up of the centerpiece design. Allison has over 20 years of expertise in Chicago wedding design and has a great understanding of venues, hotels, and event spaces throughout the city and suburbs to help you with all of your décor options for your unique event. Stems has a wide range of rental products to suit any location, including chuppas, arches, pedestals, candelabras, vases, urns, bowls, fabric decorating, table linens, aisle runners, and lights. On the day of your wedding, our skilled, experienced, and creative staff arrives with the same objective and expectation as every couple: to create an unforgettable celebration. Allison and a partner created the first Stems retail store at Grand and Halsted in 2001. Her idea of providing distinctive, unexpected floral for all occasions—celebrations, gifts, corporate events, subscriptions, and weddings—came true, and the Chicagoland community welcomed it. With a thriving event business, Stems opened Studio Stems in 2003 to give a magnificent showroom and workspace to extend its special event and wedding services. Stems merged the retail store, design studio, and offices into one main facility at 850 North Ashland as the success story continued.
