At Sterling Event Services, we are the calm in that storm. We have been, for more than 30 years. Who We Are Sterling Event Services was founded in 1999 by Janet Abbey, a Northeast Ohio native who has spent her career turning life's biggest milestones into beautifully orchestrated celebrations. With more than 700 events coordinated across Cleveland and beyond, Sterling brings a rare combination of seasoned expertise and genuine personal investment to every single client. We are not a volume shop. We are a boutique planning firm where your event receives the attention, creativity, and white-glove care it deserves — from the first conversation to the final farewell. What We Do We plan and coordinate the full range of life's celebrations — timeless weddings, milestone birthdays, elegant graduation parties, intimate rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, and cherished at-home events. Our in-house team includes Maribeth, our talented floral designer, and Caroline, a glass artist and Cleveland Institute of Art graduate whose handcrafted work adds one-of-a-kind touches that guests remember long after the evening ends — the kind of integrated creative team you simply do not find at most planning firms.
