Laura was attending church service on a Sunday morning when the pastor abruptly summoned her to the front of the congregation. He handed Laura $60 to invest in her bakery after telling everyone in the room about her hopes of one day owning her own bakery. Laura found herself with a total of $10,000 when she left the church that day, thanks to the generosity of the congregation. It was their way of encouraging her to pursue her ambitions. Laura was able to launch her bakery thanks to the seed money and the outpouring of love and support she got. Laura transformed her passion for baking into a profitable, home-grown business with the support of her business coach. She's earned certifications as a Master Cake Decorator and an award-winning Sugar Artist along the way. "You are in business for yourself but not by yourself.," she has learned throughout this trip. She continues to express gratitude to the numerous individuals in her life, particularly her daughter.
