Founded in 2016

Even the best plan can fail if it isn't carried out properly. Our entire staff participates in the planning process, even though each of our clients has a Lead Planner in charge of managing the specifics of their event. Knowing that you have a capable support team working on your event in the background will allow you to relax. Owner and main planner/designer for Swoon Soiree, Lauren started her professional career in the marketing and advertising sector after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University. She relocated to Dallas, Texas, shortly after graduating, where she worked as a media buyer for a small advertising agency. Lauren left the firm after several years of account management, significant media spending, and complex negotiations to pursue her passion for design, planning, and aesthetics. Lauren enrolled in the planning course offered by the American Association of Wedding Planners (AACWP), and she graduated with a certification in event planning. Lauren spent the following few years working as a freelance wedding planner in the Dallas wedding industry after completing the AACWP course. Lauren and her husband Nathan decided it would be better to relocate the family back to the east coast after organizing events in the DFW area. When it returned to Virginia, Swoon Soiree was ready to go, providing services to Richmond, Charlottesville, Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Additionally, Lauren is a seasoned traveler who is prepared with a passport.

What event planning services do you offer?
We specialize in weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, social events, and corporate. We are always passport ready and are ready for destination events.
What event planning services do you offer?
We offer full service and event management. For certain venues we do offer guided planning.
What makes your planning style unique?
We break the rules. Our team studies traditions, cultures, and etiquette - and then we break the rules that no longer serve our events or clients. Our design is layered, fresh, and meets at the juxapositon of traditional, edgy, modern, and pretty. It is always unexpected and never seen before.
Do I pay vendors directly, or will you handle payment coordination?
You will always be 100% aware of your budget, your vendor agreements, and you will pay the vendors directly. We will help guide you, but we aren't in the middle of those transactions.
How many people from your team will be on-site during my event?
We always have a minimum of two planners on site. Depending on the scope of work, logistics, and design we may bring out a larger team.
