The Blue Dogs

The Blue Dogs' story starts in South Carolina, when two lifelong friends came together to form a group now renowned for their lively live performances, feel-good original compositions, and seamless fusion of rock, pop, and country music. Big Dreamers, their eagerly anticipated debut album in 16 years, continues that journey. The Blue Dogs are now firmly established as one of the state's most adored and enduring bands thanks to the collection, which was produced by talented guitarist and longtime Blue Dogs admirer Sadler Vaden. Hank Futch, who plays bass, and Bobby Houck, who sings and plays acoustic guitar, are currently in charge of the Charleston-based, 1987-founded band. The two grew up together in Florence, South Carolina. Guitarist Dan Hood, steel guitarist Charlie Thompson, and longstanding drummer Greg Walker all joined them in the studio for this endeavor. Big Dreamers feels like a full circle moment because three of the new tracks were co-written by former member Phillip Lammonds.
