I’m David Cruz, also known as The Drunk Wedding Photographer. I’m from Oaxaca, shaped by mezcal, street tacos, and a lifetime of paying attention to the people around me. I photograph small, straightforward weddings on Kodak 35mm film, with a focus on Beverly Hills Courthouse ceremonies and small weddings across Los Angeles. I work quietly, stay out of the way, and care more about honesty than polish or trends. I was born in the slums of Oaxaca, Mexico to Mixteco parents and grandparents. I'm a fire rabbit Sagittarius, I own eight chickens, I hate the summer, despise wearing shoes, I edit client's wedding photos while listening to Relatos de la Noche, can speed-run Donkey Kong Country 3 at 105% under two hours, my three favorite songs of all time are Bizarre Love Triangle, Persiana Americana, and Girls Not Grey. I grew up watching Daria, and my guilty pleasure is watching high-speed police pursuits on live TV.

- How long have you been a photographer?
- Too long to admit.
- Will you edit and color correct my photos?
- Yes. Every photo is personally edited and color-corrected by me, one at a time. Nothing is automated, outsourced, or Ai-processed. I handle the entire post-production workflow to ensure consistency and quality.
- What is your approach to working with clients?
- I keep it simple: we plan what you want, I show up on time, and I deliver exactly that. I communicate clearly, stay unobtrusive, and I keep it 100. You get honest, consistent results with no surprises. And yes, a drink or two is always very much appreciated of course.
- What is your pricing?
- I keep pricing simple: Beverly Hills Courthouse weddings are $2,500, small weddings are $5,700, and destination weddings are $8,700. For full details, please check my website.
- Are engagement shoots included in any of your packages?
- No, engagement shoots are not included. I include rehearsal/welcome dinner and after-party coverage instead because those events are closer to the wedding day, involve the actual guests, and provide more meaningful, real-time memories than a separate engagement session.
