About The Gastro Garage
Founded in 2014
Gastro Garage is an Los Angeles-based catering company that deconstructs classic sandwiches and dishes and reconstructs them into signature “Gastro Tanks,” a savory unsweetened brioche style donut that has been blow torched by one of their skilled “Gastro Mechanics.” The Mechanics then inject them with nitrous foam, and blow torch the toppings, adding finishing oils, purees, and spices. The Gastro Garage is a visually entertaining culinary concept perfect for any type of private party or event. Gastro Garage has traveled all over the creating experiences, doing pop-ups and events from L.A., to the Hamptons, to Abu Dhabi. They have been featured on BravoTV.com's digital series, Going Off the Menu and Cooking Channel’s Food Paradise as well as have received numerous accolades in notable media outlets such as LA Magazine, E! News, Urban Daddy, Biz Bash, LA Weekly, Thrillist, LA Times and more. Since launching in 2014, the Mechanics have been torching for clients such as Ron Howard, Ryan Seacrest, Seth MacFarlane, Kate Hudson, Sean Penn, Charlize Theron, Sarah Silverman, Jon Favreau, Tim Allen, James Corden, Sylvester Stallone, and companies Google, Hulu, Microsoft, HBO, Paramount, Warner Bros., Sony, Disney, Insomniac and FOX’s American Idol to name a few.

- We do have Gluten Free and Vegan options.
- Can I have an event inside?
- Yes, more than half of our events take place inside venues.
- How much space do you need?
- We are very flexible on space and size of station. We generally need 12’ of space (2 Six foot tables) in front of us and some work space behind. Our station can be straight line, a U shape or an L. We can work with the location to find the right solution.
- What kind of gas do you use in the torches?
- We use propane because it has no taste. It is the same as you find in any gas BBQ.
