The Rosy Posy

The Rosy Posy is a design/decor/floral company based in Washington, District of Columbia. In addition to being the owner, Lisa is also the head florist here at The Rosy Posy! She first fell in love with floral design when she was just 15 years old, when she realized she possessed a natural aptitude for the profession. Because Lisa grew up in York, England (one of the oldest cities in the United Kingdom), she learned the fundamentals of classic floral design and became an expert in European wedding design. After graduating from college, she embarked on a global journey, completing programs and taking classes from other floral design luminaries around the world. As a result of her determination to start her own business, Lisa returned to school and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. While traveling with her husband, she worked in brick and mortar stores all over the world, earning a living (a 21 year U.S. Navy veteran). Lisa opened her own store, The English Rose, while stationed in Hawaii. She owned and operated the store for seven years, during which time she received numerous awards. She managed to accomplish all of this while raising her three beautiful daughters! Lisa decided to devote her time and energy to her passion for wedding and event floral design after relocating to the continental United States and welcoming her husband home from deployment. Lisa's favorite thing to do is design floral arrangements for weddings because it gives her that "feel-good" factor that we all strive for. The Rosy Posy was officially established in January of this year! We have the most incredible team, and Lisa's daughters and husband frequently lend a hand. Lisa considers this to be a true fulfillment of a lifelong dream!
