Thistle and Blooms

Ladies, let's get started.... As a recent bride, I am all too familiar with the stress and anxiety of wedding planning. And I know how valuable it is to have others come in and assist ease the load. It is my responsibility to be one of those folks! My job entails much more than just flower production. I get to sit down with brides (YOU!) and create floral arrangements that represent your personality and set the tone for your wedding! Because no two brides are same, I feel her flowers should be unique and custom-made for her. My mother and grandmother, both California natives, were continually teaching me how to host a fantastic party. I've always like to adorn the tables with flowers, jelly beans, tinsel, and whatever else I could get my hands on. I eventually got rid of the rest, but retained the flowers. Since then, that passion has only grown stronger. I worked at two different floral companies after graduation, where I learned more about the beauty and creativity of flowers. I knew it was time to establish Thistle and Blooms after 5 years. Blending colors and textures to create organic, garden-like compositions is my love. My favorite aspect of working as a florist is sitting down with the bride and discussing her wedding flowers.
