About Trisha Shelley
Hey friends! In a given day, my two young children can either be the cutest little angels or the most mischievous little rascals. I make my living as a natural light photographer. I take pleasure in both photographing and creating poignant moments for others that they will be able to treasure for the rest of their lives. A brief introduction to myself. When I was in the seventh grade, I met my husband on the soccer field. My dad served as the team's coach. We both developed feelings for the other pretty quickly after we met. For years, whenever I got together with my friends for sleepovers, I would inevitably bring him up. We didn't officially start dating until our senior year of high school, but we stayed together all the way through college. At the ripe old age of 22, we tied the knot after he finally, after several failed attempts, proposed marriage. Now that we've reached the 10-year mark of our marriage, having made it through the years of school and residency, we're savoring this new phase of life, getting to spend more time with each other and working to create a meaningful life together with our children. Now, here are a few things about me that should help you get to know me better! 1. The sun is one of my favorite things in the world. Taking in the splendor of the natural world while being outside and breathing it all in. My ideal setting for happiness involves the sun warming my skin and the wind ruffling my hair, preferably while I'm working out or otherwise moving my body. 2. I'm a creator. My soul craves it. Whether it's making simple crafts, working on home improvement projects, creating artwork on the computer, or photographing families, it gives me a sense of accomplishment to watch something develop from nothing and to know that I had a hand in bringing it about. 3. And finally, my favorite thing to do is compete in triathlons. It's like discovering a newfound joy. It's not so much about the day of the race itself as it is about the training and the joy that comes from working hard, spending time with friends, learning new skills, and challenging myself to be better—just for me. The phrase "Each and every day, in each and every way, I am getting better and better" is something I first heard when I was in high school, and it has stayed with me ever since. When things get difficult, I remind myself of that, because even though setbacks and obstacles will inevitably arise along the way, we will always learn and develop as a result of them. Have I already mentioned that I'm an optimist? I'm grateful that you stopped by my sliver of the internet and took the time to look around.
