With their combined twenty years of event experience, including an extensive background in catering, Alison and Jonathan have a comprehensive understanding of what goes into the making of a successful event. Whether you are planning your wedding, child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or annual fundraising gala, you can trust Alison and Jonathan to execute your vision. Why have one planner when you can have two? From sipping rosé through the summer to cooking “family” dinner with their husbands, Jonathan and Alison have a lot more in common than their profession. After meeting while planning weddings for a New York boutique catering company, it was clear they shared a similar mindset yet offered complementary skills and experience. When they realized they shared the dream of owning their own event planning company, it was a no-brainer, and Two Kindred Event Planners was born. When Alison planned her own wedding, she turned her family’s 17-acre farm into a whimsical wedding venue, incorporating elements of a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony with handmade décor and transformed the garage into a Kosher kitchen. With an affinity for DIY projects, she is a natural at visualizing the final product and bringing it to life, and does the same for her clients when crafting their dream weddings. For Alison, nothing is more rewarding than seeing her clients loving every moment of their perfect day. Bring your vision; she’s got the rest covered. Jonathan planned his first wedding at age fifteen, where he taught the bridesmaids how to wrap bouquets long before YouTube tutorials existed. Since planning his own gay wedding in DC before gay marriage was recognized in all 50 states, his weddings have spanned the country and have been featured in Vogue, Page Six, and InStyle, among others. The only thing he loves more than seeing months of work and planning come together, is seeing the joy it brings the couple and their family on their perfect day.
