Hi there! I'm Lula, a wedding photographer based in Nelson, New Zealand, and I'm so excited to meet you! Velvet Moon Photography is all about capturing the real moments, the laughter, the tears, and the love that makes your wedding day so special. My style is relaxed, natural, and genuine, with a focus on documentary-style photography that tells your story in beautiful, vibrant colors and striking black and whites. *Inclusivity* is incredibly important here at Velvet Moon Photography, so all couples are welcome here, always. I'm passionate about creating a comfortable and relaxed experience for my neurodiverse clients, including ADHD, AuDHD, and autistic folks, and families with neurodiverse or autistic kids and guests. - What is your approach to working with clients?
- I'd say I'm 80% documentary style, and 20% hands on. I flit around like a gentle ninja, then just for a wee bit, I'm in there with you and guiding you to create art. I'm adaptive to your ways with communication, comfort and sensory needs. Everything in the way I work comes down to respect.
- What is your unusual hyperspecific niche, Lula?
- I love working with neurodiverse clients. I have AuDHD and autistic clients, ADHD clients, and those with other neurodiversities. I'm ND myself and I found getting married to be a very vulnerable time, so I have ways to adapting the process for each client's needs to minimise the overwhelm ❤️
- Can I order albums and other photography items from you?
- Yes, you certainly can, right from the comfort of your very own nest. You can purchase right from your online wedding gallery, and receive beautiful Queensberry NZ albums and print and art products with your gorgeous faces on them.
