Winiker Orchestras is the perfect choice for musical entertainment at your next event! Bo Winiker began his professional music career at the age of ten, when he formed the Winiker Family Band with his mother, father, and elder brother in Millis, Massachusetts. Bo went on to join the Grammy-winning New England Conservatory Ragtime Ensemble after graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music. For the next 25 years, Bo was a member of the ensemble, traveling the world with conductor and former NEC president Gunther Schuller. He was the main trumpet soloist with the Stan Kenton Orchestra from 1972 to 1973, and he has also performed solos with the New York Philharmonic and Cleveland Orchestras. In 1992, Bo collaborated with Billy Joel on the soundtrack for the film "A League of Their Own." He's played at the White House for President Ford, at President Carter's Inauguration, and alongside Aretha Franklin at Bill Clinton's Inaugural Ball. From 2013 to 2017, Bo led the Boston Pops Swing Orchestra in five consecutive sold-out New Year's Eve Galas. Bo and his band members can be spotted performing at a variety of parties and events across New England. Bo's horn playing, singing, and band-leading abilities have been praised, and he brings his contagious spirit to every performance, no matter how big or small the stage! Bill Winiker is a charismatic drummer and conductor known for his light touch and swinging beat. Since he was 13 years old, he has been playing professionally. Bill earned his bachelor's degree in music from the Boston Conservatory of Music, where he studied a variety of percussion instruments. Bill creates and narrates many original programs on many facets of American popular music and jazz, and is a renowned music historian.
