Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a 65-acre estate on the Gulf Coast in Theodore, Alabama, about 20 miles south of Mobile. Originally developed as a private retreat by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath, the gardens first opened to the public on April 7, 1932, and have welcomed visitors year-round ever since. The estate encompasses sweeping formal gardens — including the Rose Garden, Camellia Parterre, and Conservatory — alongside the English Renaissance-style Bellingrath Home Museum, completed in 1935 by architect George B. Rogers. Bellingrath offers private event rentals for weddings, corporate gatherings, and organizational events. Wedding ceremonies and receptions are available through all seasons across the estate's garden settings, with a 1939 chapel available for small ceremonies. Indoor events are hosted in the Magnolia Room, which accommodates up to 80 guests and is located adjacent to the Magnolia Café. The Fowl River Pavilion provides a waterfront option with river views. A basic facility rental includes admission for 100 guests, parking, and a complimentary shuttle.
