Forrest Hills Mountain Resort

Forrest Hills Mountain Resort is a family-owned destination resort set on 140 acres of North Georgia forestland near Dahlonega, a historic gold rush town at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded in 1977 and built from the ground up by siblings David and Denise Kraft, the resort has grown into a full-service event destination hosting more than 125 weddings annually alongside corporate retreats, family reunions, and group gatherings. The property offers a range of ceremony and reception venues suited to gatherings of different sizes. The Chapel in the Woods seats up to 120 guests for indoor ceremonies, while the outdoor Wedding Garden accommodates 60 to 150 guests. The Rose Garden Dining Room handles larger receptions for up to 200 guests with in-house catering, and the Secret Garden provides an intimate setting for smaller groups of up to 40. A full-time wedding coordinator is on staff to guide planning from booking through event day. In addition to event spaces, Forrest Hills provides 32 private cabins, 12 luxury bi-level suites, and several group lodges — giving wedding parties and corporate groups the option to stay on property. On-site amenities include a full-service spa, dining, horseback riding, carriage rides, a saltwater pool, and access to the surrounding North Georgia landscape.
