Swan Lake Overlook is a magnificent wedding and event location located on the shores of Swan Lake. It is on 225 acres of land that has been in our family for more than 100 years that we have built our venue. All of the well-known mountain elements may be found in our picturesque views of the North Georgia Mountains, which overlook the entire region. We are conveniently located just north of Atlanta, making us the ideal mountain destination wedding venue just outside the city limits. A variety of ceremony locations are available on our property, as well as a huge interior event space that can accommodate up to 300 guests. You might be surprised to learn that we are actually a deer farm with unusual deer species. On our land, there are about 80 Sika and Fallow Deer that are allowed to graze freely. Forrest Hills Mountain Resort is a family-owned destination resort set on 140 acres of North Georgia forestland near Dahlonega, a historic gold rush town at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded in 1977 and built from the ground up by siblings David and Denise Kraft, the resort has grown into a full-service event destination hosting more than 125 weddings annually alongside corporate retreats, family reunions, and group gatherings. The property offers a range of ceremony and reception venues suited to gatherings of different sizes. The Chapel in the Woods seats up to 120 guests for indoor ceremonies, while the outdoor Wedding Garden accommodates 60 to 150 guests. The Rose Garden Dining Room handles larger receptions for up to 200 guests with in-house catering, and the Secret Garden provides an intimate setting for smaller groups of up to 40. The Powell Barn's Background Powell Barn & Events is a family-owned and operated special events location in the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains' foothills. Our event will take place on our private 200-acre horse farm, which features a unique mix of grazing pastures, breathtaking mountain views, and isolated forest trails. Momma and Papa Powell, their 6 children, and 11 grandchildren make up the Powell Family, a close-knit and friendly community of nearly 25 members. After all six Powell children exchanged vows on the gorgeous family land—each making it their own with the huge range of possibilities we offer with our two event sites—the family decided to create this business. The Barn can accommodate up to 130 guests and has a spectacular mountain view, whereas The Woods is located down a meandering walk among tall trees and lush ferns and is better suited for a smaller group of up to 75 people. A rustic open-air barn setting with wandering grasslands, majestic mountain ranges, and breathtaking sunset views straight from our ceremony and reception locations. Willow Creek Farm is a waterfront wedding venue set on 40 acres of meadows, mountain vistas, winding creeks, and forested land in Cleveland, North Georgia. Two creeks converge at the heart of the property, forming the backdrop for an outdoor ceremony site framed by mature trees, a hand-forged black metal gate, and a twisted laurel arbor. The newly renovated reception barn offers over 4,200 square feet of climate-controlled, mountain-modern interior space accommodating up to 180 seated guests, with the capacity to expand to 200 or more by utilizing the adjacent open-air pavilion. The pavilion adds 2,000 square feet of covered gathering space with scenic views of the surrounding fields and willows. Willow Creek Farm offers all-inclusive packages for 2026 and 2027 weddings, as well as micro-wedding options for smaller celebrations. The property provides 14 hours of access on event day, a dedicated design suite, fire pit with swings, and a fleet of staff-operated golf carts to transport guests across the grounds.

The Ruins at Kellum Valley is a historic outdoor wedding venue nestled in the North Georgia mountains, about one hour north of Atlanta. The property traces its roots to the early 1900s, when Elizabeth Carnegie Kellum — niece of steel magnate Andrew Carnegie — purchased more than 1,000 acres to establish a working farm. A three-story stone dormitory and school built for underprivileged children burned in 1928, leaving behind the striking stone foundations and twin chimneys that now define the venue's landscape. Owner DeAnne Major acquired the land in 1996, cleared the ruins from overgrowth, and hosted the first wedding on the property in 2005. Since establishing The Ruins at Kellum Valley Weddings in 2006, the venue has hosted more than 450 all-inclusive celebrations. The property offers over ten distinct outdoor ceremony sites set among the historic ruins and mountain scenery. All-inclusive packages feature in-house gourmet catering, a three-tiered wedding cake, farm tables and chiavari chairs, full linen service, and a dedicated day-of coordinator.
