Greensboro Science Center

The Greensboro Science Center is a 22-acre attraction in Greensboro, North Carolina, combining a zoo, aquarium, and museum under one roof. Founded in 1957 as the Greensboro Junior Museum through efforts led by the Junior League of Greensboro, the center has grown into one of only 15 facilities in the country to hold dual accreditation from both the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums — a distinction earned through its commitment to animal care, conservation, and guest experience. For private events, the Science Center offers a collection of distinctive rental spaces available from February through September. The SAIL Center Great Hall accommodates daytime and evening functions, the SAIL Center Think Tank serves daytime meetings and gatherings, and the Wiseman Aquarium provides an evening setting surrounded by marine life. All rental packages include tables, chairs, and black linens, coordinator support, audio/visual equipment, setup and breakdown, WiFi, and security. Wedding packages add two getting-ready areas, three coordinator meetings, and preferred vendor recommendations — everything a planner needs to run the day from one contact.
