Designed by architect Ellis Maples and established in 1962, the club has a distinguished history as the longtime host of the Greater Greensboro Open PGA Tour event — a tenure that ran from 1977 through 2007. Under new ownership, the property has been revitalized to welcome both members and private event guests. The Leftwich House, constructed in 1875, is a Gothic Revival residence — one of only three remaining examples of that style in Greensboro — and holds National Landmark status. The main reception hall accommodates up to 140 guests at round tables, with capacity extending to approximately 164 during warmer months by way of a 35-foot deck and 14-foot diameter gazebo.
