Historic London Town and Gardens

Historic London Town and Gardens is a waterfront wedding and events venue set on 23 acres along the South River in Edgewater, Maryland — a short drive from downtown Annapolis. The grounds trace their origins to 1683, when the Maryland legislature established London Town as a colonial tobacco port. The William Brown House, built around 1760 as a tavern for ferry travelers, remains at the heart of the property today, lending a sense of history that is visible in every corner of the estate. The main event space is a 40 x 60 tent dressed with drapery and two statement chandeliers, accommodating up to 200 seated guests — expandable to 240 with an extension tent. For smaller gatherings from November through mid-April, the indoor Waterfront Pavilion seats up to 80 and accommodates around 125 standing. A 185-foot pier extends into the South River and anchors many ceremonies with open-water views. Lush landscaped gardens and the historic grounds round out the setting, offering rich backdrops for portraits and cocktail hours. Couples and event planners will find approximately 125 onsite parking spaces, six unisex restrooms including two that are ADA accessible, and access to a list of approved caterers. The venue is LGBTQUIA+ affirming, pet friendly, and welcoming of all traditions and faiths.
