Hunt Hill Farm Trust

Hunt Hill Farm — now home to The Silo Cooking School — is a cultural institution with more than five decades of history in New Milford, Connecticut. Founded on Ruth and Skitch Henderson's passion for food, fine art, music, and conservation, the property helped spark the recreational cooking movement in the 1970s, well before the Food Network era. Today, The Silo operates as a cooking school, event venue, and community gathering place tucked into the Litchfield Hills. Led by Chef Constantine "Dino" Kolitsas, the program offers hands-on cooking classes, corporate team-building sessions, private group classes, catering services, and youth summer camps. The campus has served tens of thousands of children and adults from across the region and holds accredited NGO status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The farm's white barn and silo buildings sit on open grounds surrounded by trees — a rural Connecticut setting that suits celebrations, cultural events, and creative programming in equal measure.
