Boscobel opened as a nonprofit museum sixty years ago. Built between 1804 and 1808, it was originally the dream house of wealthy Loyalists. By the 1950s, after falling into disrepair, it was demolished. Preservationists saved as many architectural fragments as possible and reassembled them fifteen miles north, where the Neoclassical mansion was restored back to—and even beyond—its original grandeur. Boscobel was saved as a beautiful piece of art. Now an esteemed Historic House Museum containing one of the finest collections of decorative arts from the Federal period, Boscobel offers admission to 68 acres of our grounds, featuring lush gardens and a woodland trail. 19Main occupies the United Bank Building in historic downtown New Milford, Connecticut — a beaux-arts structure built in the early 1900s following the Great Fire of 1902, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. After nine months of restoration by Village Green Investments, the building opened as an event venue in September 2015, preserving three original bank vaults as a nod to its storied past alongside thoroughly modernized amenities. The venue offers two reception rooms suited to a range of event sizes. The larger room accommodates up to 150 guests seated or 250 for cocktail-style receptions; the smaller room fits up to 50 seated or 100 cocktail-style. For wedding receptions with a dance floor, the venue hosts up to 130 guests. 19Main books only one event per day, ensuring exclusive use of the full space from morning through midnight. Weddings, social events, and corporate gatherings are all welcome. Outside caterers and vendors may be brought in with prior approval, and the dedicated event coordinator — on-site since 2016 — supports planning from initial booking through the final hour of the event.

The Norwalk Art Space is an exciting new museum and hub for the arts. Our mission is to promote under-represented local artists, offer free art classes to under-served students and provide the public with a welcoming space to enjoy art and music. The Norwalk Art Space at ADK House welcomes private events. We offer a contemporary, airy, and artistic new event space, newly renovated in 2020/21, and conveniently located off I-95 in Norwalk. Featuring a 2,200sf gallery, versatile loft space, separate 450sf dining area, and outdoor patio, ADK House offers many flexible options for your next special event. Exclusive catering at ADK House is provided by Marcia Selden Catering (www.marciaselden.com). We can accommodate approximately 120 guests for a sit-down dinner and up to 220 guests for a cocktail-style event. The size of the main interior event rooms is as follows: Main Gallery 40’ x 58' (2,200sf), Loft 19’ x 10', Foyer 21’ x 10', Cafe Dining Area 33' x 14' (450sf).
