Hutchinson Ranch

Hutchinson Ranch Weddings & Events sits on 800 acres of working Colorado ranchland about two miles west of Salida, just off Highway 50. The property has been in continuous operation since 1868, when pioneers Joseph Sykes Hutchinson and Annabel McPherson first settled and began raising cattle. Seven generations of the Hutchinson family have worked the land since, and the ranch remains an active Red Angus cattle operation today. The centerpiece event space is a 36-by-60-foot indoor barn that pairs a rustic ranch aesthetic with thoughtful event details — decorative lighting, two bars, farm tables, wooden chairs, ceremony arches, and an outdoor propane fire pit. The barn opens to a ceremony lawn set against open hay fields and views of Colorado's highest mountain range. Together, the indoor and outdoor areas accommodate groups of 175 or more for weddings, corporate retreats, private parties, reunions, and live music events.
